Auburn softball vs. LSU: Time, TV, how to watch online for SEC Tournament semifinal, Pitching showdown looms as softball Tigers take on LSU
For Auburn softball, it’s one down and two to go for the almighty three — a third straight SEC Tournament title, that is. A familiar foe in LSU is the next challenge.
No. 7 Auburn softball takes on No. 21 LSU on Friday afternoon in the SEC softball tournament semifinals in Knoxville, Tenn. The matchup of the two Tigers will be the fourth of the season, with Auburn taking two of three in a SEC-opening March series.
The game will be a rematch of the 2016 SEC Tournament final, which Auburn won decisively by a score of 7-1. The Tigers opened and closed their 2017 series against LSU with wins, although the Bayou Bengals picked up a run-rule victory in Game 2.

On Thursday, Auburn defeated Kentucky, 2-0, behind a late home run from sophomore Kendall Veach and another complete game shutout from junior Kaylee Carlson.
“Kaylee’s pitching and Kendall’s timely home run is the reason we are sitting here now,” Auburn head coach Clint Myers said Thursday. “I will give credit to the defense, I understand that we turned our 45th or 46th double play. This team is resilient, different hero every night, and they just figure out ways to win. It was fun.”
